Vintage Advertising Stoneware Crock - Philadelphia - Finley, Acker & Co. - 1920.This great stoneware crock features an Ackers label framed by blue and white stripes. The label has a seal that reads, "Finley Ackers, Absolute Reliability." Ackers was a major grocer in Philadelphia in the early 1900's. This size crock would make a perfect counter-top storage container, vase, or addition to an advertising or stoneware display.
Excellent condition for its age with no chips, cracks, or staining. It is crazed all over, and the bale wire has been cut. The jar is 5" tall and 4 3/4" in diameter at the base.
